My beautiful wife Sarah and I had our baby today. Saylor Dear came in at 8.2lbs and 22.25” inches long. It’s  a wonderful day.

Welcome to my website. For over 20 years I have been fortunate to work in the film industry on all sides of the camera. Here are samples from my volume of work, on display for employers and clients to see and for others who are inspired by this behind the scenes aspect of the motion picture industry.

Currently my work has been focused around Directing, Visual Effects and Storyboarding various projects ranging from intense action video games and theatrical features to comedies and more family oriented movies. Occasionally I branch out on different motion, graphics and mechanical tangents like short films, unique props, movie posters or comic books. As I was finishing my studies of Illustration and Fine Art at the Academy of Art College San Francisco, I was already employed as a storyboard artist for Walt Disney Pictures. In 1995 after graduation I relocated to southern California and immediately began work as an illustrator creating production paintings, concept art and storyboards for the major studios like Disney, Warner Bros., Paramount and 20th Century Fox. This led me to directing 2nd unit and Art Directing on some marvelous projects which have continued to expand my career as a motion picture artist. I thank you for visiting and ask you to please click on the “projects” page for a look at some of my work
