Directing has been a passion of mine since I was a child. I started making stop-motion movies around the age of 8 with my dad’s 16mm Bolex and took off from there. Most recently I directed 2nd unit on “The Perfect Game”.  Based on a true story and set in Mexico, 1957 I filmed a majority of the baseball games and montages. In 2005 I did 2nd unit on “Simon Says” starring Crispin Glover, Margo Harshman and Blake Lively. That was a great experience as it was a combination of horror, fantastic action and comedy.

I had the wonderful opportunity to work with HBO and Flight of the Conchords directing the video for “Albi the Racist Dragon”. We wanted a animated look to the video but we didn’t have the time required to do a proper stop-motion.  I filmed it in HD using an animation technique that I pioneered myself, a hybrid cross between traditional stop-motion and Phil Tippet’s GoMotion, a technique I call FauxMotion.

20th Century Fox, Lionsgate and Comedy Central are a few of the studios I’ve had the pleasure to Direct projects for. I have Directed on a multitude of projects from shorts that can be seen on Funny or Die to big Theatrical Releases. I love the challenge of bringing the story to life and making it look good. No matter what I’m filming, I love making movies.
